Frequently
Asked Questions Will it cost me to have a quote? Our
Survey & Risk Assessment service is free of charge. Call 01268 270599 or
0870 241 0446 to make your appointment. Will salespeople be calling me? We
do not use salespeople or cold-calling. There is no obligation to sign-up
after getting a quote. What happens once I get your quote? Your
Surveyor will contact you to answer any queries. If you wish to proceed with
the quote your Surveyor will book the installation. How long will it take to install? Typically
a domestic installation will take 1 day and your Surveyor will advise if
otherwise. (If you are being quoted less time by someone, consider the
quality of installation you are getting.) Will there be any cables showing? We
pride ourselves on hiding cables and typically hide all of them. If we cannot
our Surveyor or Engineers will agree with you an alternative way before
continuing. How much
mess will there be? To
install your alarm properly we will have to drill holes, and lift carpets and
floorboards. But by the end of the installation all areas we have worked in
will have the carpet refitted and hoovered. Who does the installation? Our
trained and security vetted Engineers. We do not use sub-contractors or
labourers. I’ve heard
the phrase “a confirmed alarm”. What is this? An
alarm system that has its signals passed to the Police via a Central
Monitoring Station must be capable of generating a “confirmed” signal. When a
remote signalling alarm system activates - i.e. a detector triggering the
alarm - this is called an “intruder” signal and the Central Station will call
your nominated keyholders. If there is a second activation from another zone
within 30 minutes - i.e. a detector in a different room – this will send a
“confirmed” signal and the Central Station will pass this to the Police. This
is the current regulations of the Police and has proven to reduce false
alarms, allowing for the Police to attend to an activated alarm system that
is more likely to be a genuine intrusion rather than a false alarm, for
example, caused by a window left open or an alarmed door not secured
properly. What about
false alarms? We
cannot guarantee you will never have a false alarm (be wary if someone
promises this). We do everything we can to avoid false alarms through design
of the system, using high quality equipment, and installing it correctly. As
part of our approvals we have to monitor, record, and react to reduce false
alarms, as neither our customers or ourselves want them. Can I have
an alarm with pets? We
have detectors suitable for use when there are pets. Why are there no prices on the website? As
all systems are custom designed around your needs and requirements, and in
accordance with the current Standards, a site Survey & Risk Assessment
must be carried out. Once completed we will be able to provide a price. How much for
an alarm in a 3 bed house? All
houses are different and a Survey & Risk Assessment must be done for an
accurate price, and to ensure the highest level of security. This is free and
without obligation. We do not use ‘kits’ of equipment and choose each Control
Panel for its suitability to the customer and the site. I’ve got an
existing alarm from another company? We
can takeover and maintain existing systems. Our Surveyors will advise you
accordingly. I’ve never
heard of your company? Maybe
not. We don’t overcharge our customers so we can spend money on advertising.
However we have consistently grown through word-of-mouth and satisfied
customers. As well as working for numerous local businesses, we have provided
security for such companies as NPower, Thames Water, Balfour Beatty, Romford
Brewery, Industrial Bank of |
